The Committee on Aging

The Committee on Aging
meets at the Plainville Senior Center, at noon, on the first Thursday of every month, except July and August.  The meeting is open to the Public.  

An Ordinance Establishing Senior Citizens Committee

Section 2: Shall continuously study the conditions and needs of elderly persons in the community in relation to housing, economic, employment, health, recreational and other matters. It analyzes the services for the age provided by the community, both public and private agencies,in cooperation with State AFN other services to the extent possible. The Committee is further charged with the planning (in conjunction with other Town Officers and agencies) a Senior Citizens Center in the Town of Plainville, and of naming, managing, operating and supervising the same when it should be opened to the public.
